Newport News Park Disc Golf Course
One round from the white tees using super class discs.
Super class is a category of golf discs that is similiar to a catch disc. The discs have a larger rim height and minimum diameter that is one inch larger than a long distance driver.
Players may use any one of their own pdga approved super class discs during the round. A limited supply of super class will be available during registration (zephyers and superheroes). See below for a list of approved super class discs.

Looking to improve your backhand throw distance? Aaron Bonine will be holding a distance clinic at Newport News Park in the open field next to hole 2 on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 between 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm; players are encouraged to show up anytime between start to finish. Aaron has been playing disc golf since 1997 and has recently thrown distances of over 560 feet.
The course opened in the end of July 2014. Temporary tee signs are up and the course is playable. 9 holes with two baskets on each hole. A couple of long tee pad locations are not playable yet. All natural tee pads. Park entry w/disc golf is $4 for a day pass and $37 for an annual pass. Make sure to spray for ticks. Currently it’s a long walk between 6’s basket and 16’s tee pad. Look for the green ribbon past the long 6 basket and follow the path to 16.
