$2 – Two Disc Ace Race

Entry Fee – $2

Format – Ace Race from the blue tees. Players will have two throws from each blue tee. The SAME two discs must be used for the entire round.

Payout

current Ace Pot – $329

1st throw Ace, 2nd throw missed – $100 max
2nd throw Ace, 1st throw missed – $50 max
1st throw Ace, 2nd throw Ace —- $300 max

Metal Hits

Hitting metal on any part of the basket will be paid out in banking points.
Each metal hit will be worth 2 banking points.

** payout ace values will be calculated at the end of the round and will depend on the total number of Aces at the end of the round

Deuce or Die Tuesday

One Disc – Pro/Am Doubles – Deuce or Die Format:

One Disc – Players can only use one disc. The same disc
must be used for the entire round for driving and putting.

Pro/Am – Open division players will be randomly paired with
Am divsion players.

Deuce or Die – Each player will only have two shots per hole.
Only Aces and Deuces will be scored. If you do not deuce
the hole on your second shot, then you will pick up your
disc and move on to the next hole.

Tip: You don’t have to make the comeback putt if you miss your
deuce putt. So, Go for it and Don’t be Short!!

Results

Super class is a category of golf discs that is similiar to a catch disc. The discs have a larger rim height and minimum diameter that is one inch larger than a long distance driver.

Players may use any one of their own pdga approved super class discs during the round. A limited supply of super class will be available during registration (zephyers and superheroes). See below for a list of approved super class discs.

Distance Clinic at Newport News Park

Looking to improve your backhand throw distance? Aaron Bonine will be holding a distance clinic at Newport News Park in the open field next to hole 2 on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 between 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm; players are encouraged to show up anytime between start to finish. Aaron has been playing disc golf since 1997 and has recently thrown distances of over 560 feet.


Waller Mill Park Update

The course opened in the end of July 2014. Temporary tee signs are up and the course is playable. 9 holes with two baskets on each hole. A couple of long tee pad locations are not playable yet. All natural tee pads. Park entry w/disc golf is $4 for a day pass and $37 for an annual pass. Make sure to spray for ticks. Currently it’s a long walk between 6’s basket and 16’s tee pad. Look for the green ribbon past the long 6 basket and follow the path to 16.

The clubs first event at Waller Mill took place on August 24, 2014.
